The grave of Silas Phillips in St. Michael’s churchyard is imposing and one of the few where much of the inscription can be read. Anita, Ian and Andrew, descendants of Silas Phillips traveled from Manchester, Spain and Kent to visit his grave in 2018. They were able to confirm the death of him, and his wife Hannah, in 1844.
