      Thanks for your interest.
      The Giffords came over with Wm The conqueror and the are widely distributed around England so you could be related to Osborne Gifford or it may be in medieval times one of your forebears came from Stoke Gifford and he was, and he took the Gifford name from where he lived. The Giffords moved from Stoke Gifford to Brimpsfield so the only way is for you to trace your family back as far as you can go.
